08 January 2017: Taking forward the Avenger legacy of Bajaj in India is the Avenger Street 220. With almost every component dipped in matte black, the Street 220 looks dynamic and strong. The all-black matte finish can be seen over the headlight cowl, fuel tank, exhaust, handlebars, shock absorbers and multi-spoke alloy wheels. To complement the dark theme, the company has added chrome and red inserts to the new Street 220. There is a new Avenger logo as well embossed on the bike’s tank. The instrument cluster has also been updated which has a classic analogue meter. Mechanically, Bajaj has not done anything extraordinary other than the fact that the engine is now tuned to perform better at low and mid-range. With certain refinements done to the bike, it continues to underpin the same old Twin Spark DTS-i 219.9cc engine with peak power and torque outputs of 19.03PS at 8400rpm and 17.5Nm at 7000rpm respectively.
