The all-new Maruti Suzuki Swift has been launched at a starting price of Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) at Auto Expo 2018 (Read complete launch report here). We have driven the new Swift and you can read our review here. The Swift 2018 price falls in the bracket of Rs 4.99 lakh - Rs 8.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). Within two months of its launch, the new Swift has breached the milestone figure of 1 lakh bookings in India (details here).
The new Swift is available in four variants each - L, V, Z and Z+, with both the petrol and diesel engines. While engine and power output remain unchanged, it is now available with a 5-speed automatic transmission (AMT) aside from the manual one too. The new Swift AMT prices range between Rs 6.34 lakh and Rs 7.96 lakh. The 2018 Swift’s mileage has gone up thanks to its lighter weight, and the ARAI-certified figures now read 22kmpl and 28.4kmpl for petrol and diesel, respectively.
The 2018 Maruti Swift gets lots of new features such as auto LED projector headlamps with daytime running LEDs, tail lamps with LED brake lights and a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Safety features such as dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, and Isofix child seat anchors are standard with the new model.
The new Swift revives its rivalry with the Ford Figo and the Hyundai Grand i10.
